Avery, London & Birmingham", model Note: William and Thomas Avery inherited a Birmingham, England scale making business specializing in coin and apothecary weights in 1813, and the firm adopted the name W. & T. Avery in 1818 1308, scrolled back, padded spindled arms, the seat suspended above the frame with a balance mechanism, the rear frame with hinged compartment, raised on turned tapered legs with brass cup casters, the painted and stenciled balance arm bolted to the side, height 38 in., width 22 in., depth 28 in.
