A Rare George II Sterling Silver Presentation Tea Kettle on Lampstand Edward Wakelin, London, c. 1755, mark entered 1747, with raised floral leaf, bud and berry decoration, finial stem in the form of an ear of corn encased in a husk, the leaf-capped spout of avian form, engraved with the arms of England in a rococo lozenge, the stand with matching floral design raised on leaf-capped S scroll supports with shell feet, height 14 in., weight 71 troy ozs. E6000-8000 Note: Inscribed at base of kettle "A Gift of Her Royal Higness [sic Lady Augusta", with the Royal Arms of England for Augusta (1737-1813), the eldest daughter of King George II who married Charles William Ferdinand, hereditary Prince of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, in 1764.
