Long, Governor of the State of Louisiana with the Rules of the Senate of the State of Louisiana, 1929, soft cover, 61 pgs.; together with various memorabilia of previous owner, R. B. Knott, Senator.
- Provenance: Provenance: During the years that Huey P. Long was Governor of the State of Louisiana, Robert B. Knott served as a Louisiana State Senator for the parishes of Morehouse and West Carroll. He was also related, through marriage, to "The Kingfish;" Knott's brother William was married to Long's sister Clara.~ Note: The book contains the signatures of 35 of the 39 Senators of the State of Louisiana, including Charles A. O'Niell, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Presiding Officer along with Managers on the Part of the House of Representatives, including Long's opponent, Cecil Morgan, and the three lawyers that defended Long during the impeachment trial. These three men, John H. Overton, L. H. Perez, and L. Morgan, were responsible for devising the "Round Robin" of signatures that led to Long's acquittal in the Senate.
