A Rare Newcomb College Art Pottery Oil Lamp, 1902, decorated by Harriet Joor, carved and modeled with a continuous landscape of pine trees above the first verse of Shakespeare's poem "Under the Greenwood Tree", high glaze with dark blue and green underglaze, the three arm form designed and potted by Joseph Meyer, base marked with Newcomb cipher, decorator's mark, potter's mark, reg. no. U29 and Q for buff clay body, with the original oil lamp fitting, now electrified, overall height 15 in., base height 8 in., diameter 7 5/8 in.
