A Rare Pair of American Classical Gilt Bronze-Mounted and Birdseye Maple Inlaid Mahogany Games Tables, early 19th c., Boston, each with foldover top, canted corners, conforming skirt with birdseye maple panels, carved lyre support, conforming plinth with outswept reeded legs, cuffs, casters, height 30 in., width 35 1/2 in., depth 18 1/2 in.
- Notes: Note: The birdseye maple panels and reeded legs on this pair of tables are nearly identical to those on other notable Boston examples including a games table from the Priest collection and a pair of lyre-base games tables referenced in Feld. Boston in the Age of Neo-Classicism 1810-1840, pp. 34-35, fig. 4.
