A Rare Pair of Boston Federal Brass Andirons, c. 1800, signed J. Davis on the billet bar, in the steeple top pattern, the cabriole legs with spurs and ending in snake feet. E2000-3000 Provenance: Mistletoe, Natchez, Mississippi. Reference: An identical pair is illustrated on pg. 64 of Early American Andirons and Other Fireplace Accessories by Henry J.
