A Regency Mahogany Extension Dining Table, early 19th c., reeded top, single frieze, on telescopic extension with three leaves, bamboo-turned legs with brass casters, height 30 in., extended length 108 in., width 45 3/4 in.

- Notes: Note: A closely related table, attributed to William Wilkinson, sold at Christie's, London, March 24, 2004, lot #211, and also featured a single frieze and telescopic extension mechanism. Wilkinson, working in the late 18th and early 19th c., specialized in patent tables, including extension dining tables. The extension mechanism relates to Richard Gillow's "Imperial" dining table, patented in 1800 Ref. Margaret Jourdain. Regency Furniture. pp. 64-65.
