A Restauration Gilt-Bronze and Rouge Marble Standish, c. 1830, the paired encriers (with hinged lids and fitted blown-glass liners) flanking the patinated figure of a putto or winged genius reading, on a pedestal matching the rouge griotte marble base, the sides with gilt appliqués of rosettes, anthemion ornaments and trophies, over vine-embossed ball feet (one loose), height 8 in., depth 6 in., length 12 in.
