A Sierra Leone Carved Stone Bust, the conical head carved with bulging eyes, a curved broad nose, and full open lips revealing clenched filed teeth, supported on shoulders and a protruding chest, height 11 1/2 in., mounted to a square wood plinth, height 13 1/4 in.
PLEASE NOTE: Provenance: Acquired by William W. Hodges of Kokomo, IN, mid 1960s, while developing teacher training schools at the University of Njala, Sierra Leone.
