A Southern Late Federal Walnut Sugar Chest, early 19th c., probably Tennessee, lift top, void interior, the integral stand with drawer on tall ring turned, tapered legs, height 38 1/2 in., width 29 in., depth 19 1/2 in. Note: The dovetailed case, drawered base and turned legs with tall feet of lot 520 are similar to those on two known Tennessee cherrywood sugar chests: one descended in a Lincoln County Tennessee family, the other descended in the family of Judge John Overton, Davison County, Tennessee.
