A Transitional Louis XV Creme Peinte and Parcel Gilt Walnut Console, late 18th c., stamped "A. Weisweiler", the later serpentine-outlined marble top above a beaded frieze containing pierced panels bordered by guilloche and centered by a cluster of flowers; the scrolled legs decorated with projecting leaves and joined by foliate swags to a beribboned cabochon pendant, the arched stretchers surmounted by an urn finial, the scrolled toes raised on angled block feet, height 32. 5in., width 43 in., depth 21 in. E4000/6000 Note: Adam Weisweiler supplied luxurious furniture to Marie Antoinette for Versailles and Saint-Cloud. He also provided pieces for the French royal family and nobility, the Queen of Naples, the Russian Court, and George IV while Prince of Wales to furnish Carlton House in the 1780's.
