A Very Fine American Renaissance Burled and Ebonized Walnut Bedroom Suite, c. 1860-1870, Philadelphia, comprising a bedstead, dresser and washstand; the bed with an acanthus carved crest centered by a keystone cartouche, paneled frieze with fluted brackets, burled paneled headboard, urn finials, strapwork carved upright supports, bracketed conforming rails, arched rounded foot board; washstand with rare Salome marble backsplash and top, long drawer with cabochon pulls above paneled doors, chamfered corners, blocked base; the dresser having a crested mirror, urn finials, strapwork stiles, later compatible marble top, three drawers, molded base, bed height 101 1/2 in., length 80 in., width 62 in.; washstand height 42 1/2 in., width 40 in., depth 20 1/2 in.; dresser height 94 in., width 49 1/2 in., depth 23 in. Note: stamped numbers on bedstead 77, dresser 24.
