A Very Fine American Renaissance Walnut, Burl Walnut and Ebonized Half Tester Bed, mid-19th c., the arched tester centered by shell carved strapwork crest, anthemion finials, the pierced brackets on blocked stiles, the arched paneled headboard with a crest centered by a bronze plaque of Dante in profile, the paneled rails with brackets, height 123 in., width 63 in., length 75 in., together with an inscribed notecard indicating this bed, descended in the family of George Wilkinson, who purchased it at "... Garden in 1909".
