E7000/10000 Note: Related tables featuring monopodia are illustrated in George Smith's A Collection of Designs for Household Furniture and Interior Decoration, c. 1808. Smith's designs were extremely popular in the early 1800's and were published in Ackermann's Repository of the Arts and are mainly drawn from examples of Egyptian, Greek and Roman styles, and influenced by Thomas Hope.
