A Very Fine Italian "Grand Tour" Micro-Mosaic and Specimen Marble Table Top, signed Monsagrati and dated 1879 en verso, the round specimen marble top inset with Roman views, centered by the Piazza San Pietro, surrounding reserves of the Piazza del Campidoglio, Temple of Vesta, Arch of Septimius Severus, Roman Forum, Pantheon, and Castel Sant 'Angelo; inset within the Victorian ebonized and gilt incised base of typical form, the table having a turned stem on four architectonic buttresses joined by turned stretcher, height 26.5 in., diameter 24 in.
