Description:

A Very Rare American Gothic Revival Carved Walnut Bracket Clock, c. 1848, marked "A & F Roux, Paris & New York", architectonic construction, carved with lancets, crockets and finials, the central ogee spire centered with a devil grotesque, the porcelain dial with cobalt Roman and Arabic numerals, the "Japy Fils" movement with pendulum and striking bell, incurving bracket carved with tracery and crocketed pendant, height 30 in., width in., depth 6 in.
