A Fine Louis XV Ormolu-Mounted Mahogany and Kingwood Parquetry Commode, stamped with makers mark of "Dubois", (Jacques Dubois working c. 1693-1763), the marble top above serpentine bombe' base of two short drawers flanking square center drawer, over two long drawers rococo ormolu mounts at corners, elaborate pulls and escutcheons, scalloped ormolu-mounted base, cabriole legs with sabots, height 36 in , width 56 in., depth 26 in. E25000/40000 Note: Dubois became a maitre ebeniste in 1742. The inventory after his death revealed an extensive workshop with over one hundred pieces of furniture and twelve work benches.
