Counter signed by Secretary ofWar, Edwin M. Stanton, and dated 15th, July, 1864 E4500-5500 Note: William Sizer reported for duty at the Signal Corps, Georgetown, D.C. on April 30, 1863 May 2, 1863 He was recommended for 2nd Lieutenant This commission . Served in Tennessee as chief Signal Officer of that Department then in the Department of the Gulf. On duty in Texas in 1864, later in New Orleans April and was in action as a Signal Officer under General Granger at Mobile. He was discharged December 16, 1864
