  • Notes: Note: In 1980s New Orleans, Adelle Badeaux enthusiastically became involved in the emerging contemporary art scene as a collector and developing artist. With numerous galleries centered in the recently revitalized Warehouse District, Badeaux actively participated in the openings, exhibitions and art events. Local artists represented in this sale including Douglas Bourgeois, Jacqueline Bishop, George Febres and Martin Laborde soon became friends of Adelle and encouraged her endeavors in mixed media collages and photography.
