After Antonio Canova (Italian, 1757-1822), by Filippo or Vincenzo Del Buono (Italian, 19th/20th c.), "Sappho" and "Psyche", a pair of oval paintings on black grounds, oils on canvas, backed by boards, each labeled in Italian and signed "Del Buono" lower right, each sight 9 1/2 in. x 7 1/2 in., in antique oval mats and frames with mid-19th c. labels of "E. Newland... Frames, 604 Arch Street, Philadelphia, established 1838" en verso of each; together with a modern watercolor on paper, of "Achilles and the Centaur Chiron" after a Pompeiian fresco, on black ground, sight 8 in. x 10 in., in a modern giltwood frame.
