An Album of Vintage Photographs of Carton House, County Kildare, Ireland, home of the Fitzgerald Family, 1891, ten silver gelatin prints of views of the facade and interior space, images 8 1/2 in. x 11 in., album with gold lettering "Carton, 1891" on front cover Note: Carton House was one of Ireland's grestest stately homes and the ancestral seat of the Earls of Kildare and Dukes of Leinster. For over two hundred years, the house was situated on eleven hundred acres in Maynooth, County Kildare. In 2000s, the estate was sold and redeveloped as a spa and golf hotel.
