Alfred-Charles Lenoir (French, 1850-1920), c. 1885-1890, large patinated bronze figure of the "Peasant Girl Gleaner", signed on the base, height 31 in. E3000/5000 Note: Lenoir debuted at the Paris Salon of 1874, winning a second-class medal; in 1878 he won a medal atthe Exposition Universelle, Paris; in 1889, he was awarded a gold medal at the same exposition, with another gold medal being awarded in 1900.
