  • Notes: Note: In this delightful painting, folk artist Alice Latimer Moseley depicts a farmer expressing his frustration with a stubborn mule. Miss Alice first began to paint later in life, at the age of sixty-five, while caring for her elderly mother who was afflicted with Alzheimer's disease. Known for infusing her paintings with humor and commentary of life in rural Mississippi, she turned a version of this painting into a popular print.
