An American Federal Carved Mahogany Games Table, early 19th c., Philadelphia, Haines-Connelly School, shaped foldover top with reeded edge, conforming frieze with patera blocks, acanthus tapering reeded legs, height 29 1/4 in., width 35 1/2 in., depth 17 1/2 in Note: The pattern of the carved and reeded legs, as well as the patera blocks, relate to a suite of furniture made for Stephen Girard in 1806-7 under the dirction of Ephraim Haines (1775-1837).
