[American Military Ordnance Manuscript], "Semi Annual Return of Ordnance and Military Stores on hand at New Orleans the 1st of July 1810", large folio sheet (16 1/2 in. x 20 1/2 in.), water mark of eagle and "W & J", with entries in iron gall ink, signed "W. MacRea, Major Artillery" Note: Major William MacRae, who endorsed this ordnance, commanded the American artillery during the suprise attack that Jackson led against the British encampment on the night of the 23rd of Dec 1814 and led the artillery on Jackson's lines during the 9 Jan 1815 battle.
