Provenance: Presented to Commodore Nathaniel Curtis from the Members of the Southern Yacht Club, New Orleans, LA Note: This charming paddlewheeler portrait appears to be by the same hand as the "Paddlewheeler Fugela on the Mississippi River" sold in these rooms as lot 722 on June 11, 2005. Both paintings are unsigned but bear strong stylistic and compositional similarities.
