  • Notes: Note: Sold for the Benefit of the Woman¹s Department Club of Shreveport, LA. Founded in 1919, the Woman¹s Department Club is devoted to improving civic and cultural life in Shreveport. Over the years the club has staged exhibits for many Louisiana artists including Will Henry Stevens, Amos Lee Armstrong and Corrie E. Armstrong. One of their notable civic achievements was their war effort which raised funds for the purchase of two airplanes, a fighter and a bomber, both named "Shreveport Ladies", during World War II.
