Morin, with engine- turned design, monogrammed in cartouche, height 2.875 in., diameter 2 875 in., together with an American brass hand-held coin scale, 19th Century with brass beam, indicator and pans, weights in lidded compartment. E100-200 Provenance: Friedrich Wilhelm and Adelaide Helena Welham Kirchhoff, New Orleans and Pass Christian, Mississippi. Note: Friedrichh Kirchhoff was a consular official from Lubeck, Germany, Adelaide was born in St. James Parish. The Kirchhoff family papers are at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
