An American Carved Mahogany and Burlwood Tallcase Clock, c. 1928, by Herschede Clock Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, model #252, five tubes, carved crest, painted moon dial over heavy brass dial plate, flanked by fluted columns, the case with burl panels, on flared feet, height 86 1/2 in., width 22 1/8 in., depth 15 3/8 in. Reference: An identical clock is illustrated in Tran Duy Ly, Longcase Clocks and Standing Regulators, 1994, pg. 258.
