An American Carved Mahogany Full Tester Bed, mid-19th Century, stamped C. Lee, the ogee-molded tester on faceted posts with collars, the arched headboard centered by foliate crest, the scalloped rails with molded decoration over octagonal feet. E12000-18000 Note: Charles Lee was a Manchester, Massachusetts craftsman whose beds were sold in the New Orleans market by dealers such as Calvin Chandler and John Yetter in the years just before the Civil War. A stamped C. Lee bed is part of the Stanton Hall collection in Natchez, Mississippi. Reference: see Stephen Harrison, " 'C.
