An American Chippendale Carved Walnut Corner Cupboard, late 18th c., Pennsylvania, upper case with molded cornice over arched glazed doors with H hinges; lower case with three drawers above a pair of paneled doors, bracket feet, height 93 in., width 60 3/8 in., depth 29 1/2 in.
Provenance: By descent within a distinguished family with ties to Philadelphia; to the present owner, related to Henry Pratt, William Wharton Fisher, George T. Lewis and Charles Frederick Mayer, and by repute, probably from the Mayer Family home. This corner cupboard was brought South and into Louisiana by family members in the middle of the 20th century.
