An American Classical Bronze-Mounted Mahogany Games Table, early 19th c., New York, foldover swivel top with crossbanding, straight frieze, columnar trestle supports, arched acanthine legs, brass cup casters, height 29 1/2 in., width 36 in., depth 18 in.
Provenance: Descended in the Pollatsek/Reynolds Family, New Orleans.
Note: The design of the table presented here is nearly identical to a pair of tables made by Duncan Phyfe for Samuel A. Foot in 1837.
