An American Classical Carved Mahogany Games Table, c. 1810-1820, Philadelphia, School of Joseph Barry, foldover swivel top, molded skirt, foliate carved stem, rectangular plinth, molded saber legs, lion's mask brass terminals, casters, height 29 in., width 36 in., depth 18 in.
- Notes: Note: The spiraling vine carving on the support of this table is related to tables from the workshop of Joseph B. Barry & Son (Philadelphia, active 1794-1838), most notably a mahogany pier table at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (acc. 1976.324) and a mahogany games table attributed to Barry installed at Savannah's Scarborough House.
