An American Classical Carved Mahogany Grecian Sofa, c. 1825, Philadelphia, the wavy back rest with a vitruvian scroll carved with acanthus and ending in a rosette, the scrolled arm fitted with a bolster, accented by a gilt bronze mount, the reeded seat frame raised on hairy paw feet headed by cornucopiae issuing fruit and feathers, height 33 in., width 70 in., depth 23 in.
