An American Classical Carved Mahogany Tester Bed, c. 1820-1830, cove molded tester, rope-turned and foliate-carved posts with reeded collars, acanthus scrolled and paneled headboard centered by a fruit basket; retaining pegged rails, on bulbous turned legs, ending in brass cuffs, height of posts 92 in., length 75 in., inside width 60 in., later tester, length 87 1/4 in., width 66 1/2 in.
