An American Classical Mahogany and Birdseye Maple Secretary/Bookcase, c. 1810-1825, the coin edge molded cornice above a plain frieze, the glazed doors fashioned with Gothic arches and flanked by pilasters over a pair of drawers with facings of Gothic design, the lower case with a foldout baize-lined writing surface revealing compartments for pen and ink and with two long drawers, on spiral reeded and turned legs, height 63.5in., width 40.5in., depth 22.5in.
