An American Classical Mahogany and Brass Inlaid Secretary Bookcase, early 19th c., attributed to John Meads, Albany, New York, the flared cornice with arched frieze above palmette carved glazed doors flanked by Ionic columns, small drawers below, the base with shaped escritoire drawer and inset cupboards flanked by conforming columns on massive acanthus carved paw feet, height 94 in., width 48 in., depth 24 in.
