An American Classical Mahogany Armchair, c. 1825, probably Southern, tall serpentine back, padded arms terminating in lobed scrolls, shaped seat and reeded tapered legs, brass ferrules. E2500-3500 Reference: A similar chair found in New Orleans is illustrated in Early Furniture of Louisiana, LSU Press, p. 66, pl. 48.
