An American Classical Mahogany Center Table, early 19th c., attributed to J. & J.W. Meeks, New York, having an octagonal Egyptian marble top, conforming ogee molded skirt, flared, chamfered, stem, scrolled legs, casters, height 29 1/2 in., width 37 in., depth 37 in. Note: marble repaired.

  • Notes: Note: This table has several elements that appear in the well-known Joseph Meeks and Sons "broadside." The faceted vasiform standard and scroll feet are nearly identical to those on a table listed as figure 21.
