The use of this reeding in connection with the work of distinguished Quaker cabinet maker John Needles can be found in: Gregory Weidman, Furniture in Maryland, 1740-1940, The Maryland Historical Society, Baltimore, 1984, p. 159, along with numerous other examples from the Needles shop.
