An American Classical Mahogany Pier Mirror, early 19th c., paper "broadside" label of "John Elliott & Sons, No. 69 South Trow Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia", blocked cornice, flame mahogany frieze, reeded half-round columns flanking original mirror plate, height 38 in., width 22 in.
- Notes: Note: In operation from 1804 to 1809, John Elliot & Sons is the third-generation name for the firm established by well-known Philadelphia Federal glass importer and furniture maker John Elliot, Sr. (1713-1791).
