An American Classical Mahogany Sideboard, c. 1820, possibly Duncan Phyfe, New York, the original white marble top with reeded edge, breakfronted apron with a bolection drawer flanked by flush paneled drawers, verde antico and gilded capitals on white marble columns flanking two bowfront cabinets, conforming plinths terminating in blocks, tapering legs, bun feet, height 43 1/2 in., width 74 in., depth 23 in.
- Notes: Note: The distinctive form of this sideboard, with breakfronted top, unadorned frieze drawers and bowed cabinets, flanked by columns, is very similar to two sideboards: one from the Phyfe house on Fulton Street and another, possibly made by Duncan Phyfe, and descended in the family of the Hon.
