An American Coin Silver Stuffing Spoon, Michael Gibney, New York, New York, c. 1850, "Le Cordon" early pattern designed by Gibney whose dies were later obtained by Whiting, the spoon was wholesale by Wood & Hughes, New York and retailed by Hyde & Goodrich, New Orleans, LA., double-faced pattern with high French style tapered shoulder, the upper face with engraved script initials "M.C.B.", marks: head looking right in a square with canted corners, "HYDE & GOODRICH" in rectangle, eagle looking right in an oval above "W. & H." in a lozenge, above "F" in an oval, and with a lozenge on upper face lower handle, length 11.5in., weight 4 troy ozs. 9 dwts.
