An American Coin Silver Teapot, c. 1870, John Cook, New York, vase form on a stepped pedestal base, elongated repousse and chased pendentives on upper part of body, domed cover with finial, beaded borders, height 9 in., weight 17.15 troy ozs. E150-250 Note: John Cook was a foreman with William Gale & Son until 1855, then a partner in Evans & Co., later (1864) Evans & Cook. He was on his own by 1868.
