An American Federal Mahogany Sideboard, early 19th c., attributed to John Needles, Baltimore, bowfront central section with a long drawer over a pair of doors, flanked by large doors on ring turned reeded legs ending in bulb feet, height 39 1/8 in., width 71 7/8 in., depth 23 5/8 in.
PLEASE NOTE: A sideboard believed to be from the Miles Homestead (Brinkley House) nearly identical to the lot offered here is conserved by the Maryland Historical Society. The distinctive feet on this lot are nearly identical to those on a sideboard attributed to Needles from Montmorenci, the Worthington family home northwest of Baltimore and also in the Maryland Historical Society collection.
