An American Gilt Bronze Three-Light Candelabrum, c. 1850, Boston, attributed to H. N. Hooper and Co., each urn form candle nozzle above circular supports suspending star and snowflake crystal prisms, the candle sockets retaining colored glass bobêches, the foliate branches issuing from a foliate and bulbous standard, the triangular pedestal raised on a conforming plinth, a rare and highly decorated giltwood and marble pedestal. Note: A similar candelabrum is illustrated in 19th c. Elegant Lighting by Gerald Gawitt.
