An American Gilt Bronze, White Marble and Glass Three-Piece Girandole Garniture, mid-19th c., Cornelius & Co., Philadelphia, the center element stamped "Cornelius & Co. / Patent / 1848", comprising a central three-light girandole with the "Leatherstocking" group (Natty Bumpo with two Indians), and a pair of single light girandoles with "Officer" and "Lady" models, bright-burnished and matte gilt surfaces, pressed glass candlecups, geometric star-cut prisms and drops, height of central piece 18 1/4 in.
