An American Gilt Lacquered Bronze and Brass Solar Lamp, c. 1850, attributed to H.N. Hooper & Co., Boston, period globe-shaped blown, etched, and cut glass shade above a font containing original burner elements and fitted with a period glass chimney and supporting "coffin" cut crystal prisms, the standard of an elaborate Rococo design incorporating scrolls, cartouches, shells and stylized dolphins, on a foliate scroll triangular plinth, height to top of chimney 26 in.
