- Provenance: Provenance: Descended in the family of Civil War Confederate Captain Robert Mc Candish Jones, First Virginia Regiment via Mrs. James Bertrand Cox.~ Note: Captain Robert McCandish Jones fought in Pickett's Charge, one of the most celebrated Civil War attacks. He is quoted in the book Pickett's Charge, by Archibald Rutledge, Richard Rollins, 2005; declaring to his superior, "turn us loose and we will take them!"
