An American Late Classical Mahogany Pier Table, 19th c., in the manner of Duncan Phyfe, marble top, frieze drawer, canted and scrolled supports, mirror back, tapered legs, melon feet, height 38 in., width 48 in., depth 20 in.

- Notes: Note: The concentric bosses on the scroll supports, the refined molded panels on the pilasters of the backboard, and the outset plinth terminals with melon feet on this pier table relate closely to elements on two well- known sofas attributed to Duncan Phyfe: the first was in the Newark Museum's 1963 "Classical America" Exhibition; another was sold by Neal Auction Company as lot 378 on February 23, 2008.
